Walsh Construction Co. WA cordially invites your firm to submit a bid proposal for the Seola Gardens Phase 2 North Fairwind project for the King County Housing Authority. This invitation is sent to request proposals by which team members will be selected & subcontracts/supply agreements will be awarded.
- Estimated total construction cost: From $19 Million to $19.5 Million
- Please be advised that we will be accepting proposals on the referenced project until 2 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, (with subs’ list due at 3:00 PM)
Walsh Construction Co. will receive sealed bids (hand delivered or mailed) at the main office located at:

A Pre-bid Meeting including job walk and site tour is scheduled as follow:

Potential Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-bid Meeting. Hard hats and safety vests are required for the Site Tour.
The Seola Gardens Phase 2 North Fairwind project will include the following scope of work:
- Mass Grading and Erosion Control of Project Site Area
- Exterior site demolition of hardscape of Project Site Area
- Construction of multi-story building with 87 units.
- Associated site work with buildings including excavation, backfill, site grading, sidewalks, utilities, paving, landscaping, and other site improvements.
- Project is located near SW 108th St and 4th Ave SW
- WCC expects to begin construction of April 2012.
DAVIS-BACON RESIDENTIAL PREVAILING WAGE RATES
This project is a public works project. Prospective bidders must comply with Washington State Prevailing Wage Requirements for King County and Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Rates, including Certified Payroll. See Section VI and VII of the Specifications for more information on required wage rates. Be advised applicable wage rates may change. WMBE / SECTION 3
WCC will actively encourage participation of Women and Minority Business Enterprises (WMBEs) and Section 3 Residents on this project. All WMBE and Section 3 subcontractors are strongly encouraged to submit bids.

All bidders are responsible for complying with the contract documents in their entirety including any addendum. For WCC to award your firm a contract on this project, you must be able to comply with administrative requirements associated with Federal Residential Davis-Bacon wage rates. Successful bidders must be prepared to sign the standard Walsh Construction Co/WA Project Subcontract form and meet all insurance requirements. Bids will be considered non-responsive if the subcontract is altered in any way without the issues being qualified with the bid.
Refer to bid package for each trade(s). Your bid must meet all general requirements and cover costs of the full scope of work outlined in bid package(s).
