Historic Rehabilitation
Building History
Preserving an historic building is a worthy, though sometimes challenging, endeavor. Bringing the building into the present while preserving its character, transforming it to suit a new need and maintaining its integrity are very important considerations when rehabilitating an architectural piece of history.
Walsh has performed rehabilitations on a number of historical buildings: we have transformed warehouses into lofts, sleepy hotels into thriving resorts and industrial space into prosperous retail centers. We work within the building’s constraints, providing innovative ideas while adhering to historic preservation codes.
Rehabilitating an historic building can be as exciting as constructing the latest in modern architecture. We are proud of the architectural past in our communities and jump at the opportunity to preserve these historic landmarks.
