The Walsh Story
The Walsh Group has brought quality and craftsmanship to the western United States since 1961. Using construction systems that include steel, concrete and wood frame, we build a variety of structures for clients across public, private, and non-profit sectors.
Formed by two college-bound brothers from Portland, the company's early business activities included residential and commercial painting and remodeling projects. Within the first decade of operation, significant affordable and college housing projects established Walsh Construction Co. as a solid competitor in the market. Walsh grew steadily over the years, adding high-rise apartments, museums, medical facilities and high-end resorts to its list of capabilities.
Success allowed Walsh to expand geographically as well. In the early 1980s, college housing projects took us to Seattle, Washington, and our reputation for quality work kept us there as Walsh Construction Co./WA.
Walsh Construction Co./OR now manages projects in Oregon and southwest Washington, while Walsh Construction Co./WA continues to work in the northern part of the State of Washington. A large employer of skilled labor in the regional construction market, Walsh continues to offer our own full-time excavation, concrete, finish carpentry, siding and painting crews that uphold the Walsh standard of excellence.
